“Thank you so much for having me on, Stuart. It’s been great. I really love how thoughtful your questions are. You’ve really read the book and really thought about all these issues. Believe me I’ve done a lot of interviews and yours has been unusually intelligent and insightful. I greatly appreciate that.”

Leslie Kean is the author of the New York Times Best-Seller UFOs: Generals, Pilots, and Government Officials Go On The Record. The book is the result of a ten-year investigation in which Kean gathered the first-person accounts of over a dozen high-ranking military and government officials, including generals from five countries.

In a field notoriously polarized by uncritical believers on one side and dogmatic debunkers on the other, Kean’s UFOs stands apart for its loyalty to hard data from highly credible sources. Beginning with a foreward by former White House Chief of Staff John Podesta, UFOs maintains a sober approach throughout, allowing officials to speak for themselves, and letting evidence stand on its own.

Physicist Michio Kaku said of Kean’s work: “At last, a serious and thoughtful book about this controversial subject. This book is bound to set the gold standard for UFO research.”

From an integrally informed approach, there is a perennial blind-spot in UFOlogy — the lack of any developmental component. Researchers come at the riddle from many angles, but few address the fact that worldviews unfold developmentally, and each one encounters reality uniquely. The fact that there are many different depths of consciousness engaging the same puzzle should go without saying, but for the most part, has gone out the window.

To help still these murky waters, Leslie Kean advocates agnosticism. She asserts the need for serious long-term investigation balanced with UNknowing in order for us to approach the enigma in a more meaningful way. To her, the operative word is ‘UN-identified’. Patiently remaining in the unknown is not exactly a hallmark of humanity, but Kean’s work sets a good example.

Whatever your worldview, this challenging book may be just what the doctor ordered: a bit of ontological shock.

It’s a great pleasure to welcome Leslie Kean.

Leslie Kean describes some of the world’s most interesting and most thoroughly-documented UFO encounters — including incidents in Peru, Iran, Arizona, and the so-called “Belgian Wave” that spanned from November of 1989 to April of 1990 — while recounting the first-hand testimony from government officials and military personnel from around the world.

Part 2: Cultural Shadows, Personal Transformation, and the O’Hare Saucer

Leslie and Stuart talk about the massive cultural shadow surrounding UFO phenomena, the failure of our social and political systems to properly respond to these sightings, and the personal transformation required just to be able to meet such a massive mystery on its own terms. Leslie also describes the famous incident at O’Hare Airport in Chicago, when a flying disk was seen hovering over a busy concourse for several minutes.

By Leslie Kean

An Air Force major is ordered to approach a brilliant UFO in his Phantom jet over Tehran. He repeatedly attempts to engage and fire on unusual objects heading right toward his aircraft, but his missile control is locked and disabled. Witnessed from the ground, this dogfight becomes the subject of a secret report by the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency.

In Belgium, an Air Force colonel investigates a series of widespread sightings of unidentified triangular objects, and he sends F-16s to attempt a closer look. Many hundreds of eyewitnesses, including on-duty police officers, file reports, and a spectacular photograph of an unidentifiable craft is retrieved and analyzed.

Here at home, a retired chief of the FAA’s Accidents and Investigations Division reveals the agency’s response to a thirty-minute encounter between an aircraft and a gigantic UFO over Alaska, which occurred during his watch and is documented on radar.

Now all three of these distinguished men have written breathtaking, firsthand accounts about these extraordinary incidents. They are joined by Air Force generals and a host of high-level sources — including Fife Symington III, former governor of Arizona, and Nick Pope, former head of the British Defence Ministry’s UFO Investigative Unit — who have agreed to write their own detailed, personal stories about UFO encounters and investigations for the first time.

They are coming forward now because of Leslie Kean, an investigative reporter who has spent the last ten years studying the still unexplained UFO phenomenon. Kean reviewed hundreds of government documents, aviation reports, radar data, and case studies with corroborating physical evidence. She carefully examined scientifically analyzed photographs and interviewed dozens of high-level officials and aviation witnesses from around the world. With the support of former White House chief of staff John Podesta, Kean draws on her research to separate fact from fiction and to lift the veil on decades of U.S. government misinformation. Throughout, she presents irrefutable evidence that unknown flying objects — metallic, luminous, and seemingly able to maneuver in ways that defy the laws of physics — actually exist.

No one yet knows what these objects are, even though they affect aviation safety and possibly national security. The phenomenon has been officially acknowledged by numerous foreign governments. For these reasons and many others, Kean concludes that the UFO problem must be more widely recognized and ultimately solved through an unbiased scientific investigation. The material presented throughout this landmark book is sobering, unflinching, and undeniably awe-inspiring, and moves us toward a goal of properly addressing this worldwide mystery.

  2. Hi Ken. You have to go to the Integral Life website to listen to the second part of the interview:

And thanks for posting a link to the Disclosure Project video. It’s one I haven’t seen. I’ve added it to the Pulse UFO page:

  3. ALl of this is very nice but quite honestly UFOs 101. Most of the craft are secret military and, in the one actual extraterrestrial contact case (still ongoing for nearly 70 years!) the so-called “UFO experts” won’t touch it as it’s a career ender.

Off course I’m talking about the Billy Meier case in Switzerland and the fact that as soon as any of these people would inform their audiences about it, the resulting diversion of attention to something startlingly, real and unimaginably important, would put them out of a job. Such is the case referred to here:

A little reading will reveal that and “exopolitics” and most of the so-called “Disclosure” groups are little more than disinformation, deliberate or not you can decode for yourself.

I will add that Ms. Kean has long been provided with the Meier information but also chose to focus on “lights in the sky”.

If you want to understand the REASON for the Meier contacts read the articles at:
